Apart from commercial and service activity Enamor carries out research & development work aiming at production and implementation of modern equipment and systems ensuring safe, economic and ecological operation of ships. Our company obtained funds from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for three projects carried out in close co-operation with research workers of Gdynia Maritime University.

The subject of the first project was the integrated monitoring and control system EMOS. As the main Enamor product in the scope of ship automation, EMOS has been already installed on board Polish Navy ships: ORP “Xawery Czernicki” and ORP “Kaszub”, and the GMU research-training ship "Horyzont II". Our employees are continually developing new, improved versions of the system, which are successfully installed on shipboards. More about EMOS.

The second project, also finished, referred to a computer system for continuous measuring of torque on vessel's propeller shaft. More about this system.

At present our company is carrying out the third project concerning the system for optimal control of ship engines. It will be applied to engines produced by H. Cegielski - Poznań S.A. and those currently operating on board ships of Polish and foreign ship owners.

Besides research work, our R&D staff also prepares technical documentations and installation drawings, co-operates with classification societies in order to obtain necessary approval certificates for installed systems, as well as assists with approval procedures.
